General conditions for visiting Papilonia butterfly houses
1. Introductory provisions
These terms and conditions shall govern the relationship between

and the customer during visits to Papilonia butterfly houses, unless otherwise agreed in a specific case.
2. Definition
2.1. Papilonia is a butterfly house operator and provider of a butterfly house visit service for customers. The companies operating under the Papilonia brand at a particular site are listed at www.papilonia.hu.
2.2. The Butterfly House is a unique indoor space simulating the natural conditions for the healthy life of the exotic butterflies living there and the development of the butterfly chrysalises that are cared for there.
3. The contract and its formation
3.1. The parties to the contract are Papilonia and the customer who has purchased a ticket or voucher for a visit to the butterfly house from Papilonia.
3.2. Papilonia undertakes to allow the Customer to visit and experience the unique concept of the Butterfly House. The customer undertakes to pay the agreed price for the visit to the butterfly house.
3.3. The contract is concluded
– by paying the ticket price at the Papilonia ticket office before entering the building;
– via the web interface located on the website available at www.papilonia.hu (hereinafter referred to as the "Online Shop") at the time of payment of the full price by credit card.
3.4. In the case of an online contract, the customer will receive a voucher for a visit to the butterfly house with a validity period of at least six months.
3.5. In the case of concluding a contract at the ticket office, the customer receives a ticket to the Butterfly House, which is valid on the day of purchase.
3.6. The contract shall include: (i) proof of payment of the price, (ii) the offer on www.papilonia.hu or in other promotional materials and (iii) these General Terms and Conditions, if the customer has received them or has familiarised himself with them before entering into the contract.
4. Price of services and payment terms
4.1. The price of the Services in CZK is listed on www.papilonia.hu or at the individual Papilonia premises.
4.2. In the case of payment by credit card, the final price of the services including VAT, any discounts or surcharges will be displayed to the customer during the online booking process before the contract is concluded.
4.3. All information on www.papilonia.hu is for informational purposes only and Papilonia reserves the right to change it.
4.4. The discounts, if any, cannot be combined with each other, unless the parties agree otherwise.
5. Cancellation policy
5.1. In the case of purchasing a ticket at the Papilonia box office, the customer is not entitled to withdraw from the contract before the commencement of the provision of services by Papilonia.
5.2. In the case of an online voucher purchase, the customer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. He is obliged to return the voucher together with the withdrawal information.
5.3. If the customer does not use the voucher purchased online, he/she may request a refund of the funds paid within one week of the expiry of the voucher by sending the request to the contact email of the establishment concerned. In this case, the customer is obliged to return the voucher containing the QR code to Papilonia.
5.4. The funds will be refunded to the account specified by the Customer in the notice of withdrawal. If no bank account is provided, the funds will be transferred to the bank account from which Papilonia received payment for the ticket or voucher price.
5.5. In the event of inability to use the purchased voucher due to the public closure of the establishment, the validity of the voucher is automatically extended by six months. The provisions of the preceding sentence do not apply in the event of a planned closure of the premises (e.g. due to renovation, off-season break, etc.), provided that the date of the planned closure is published on www.papilonia.hu at the time of purchase.
6. Customer's obligations
6.1. The customer is obliged to follow the instructions of the Papilonia representative during the entire visit to the butterfly house, in particular by his behaviour and actions he must not intentionally cause any harm to the health or life of the butterflies present, damage the plants or other parts of the interior, etc.
6.2. The Customer is obliged to behave with respect towards other visitors, in particular not to be noisy or otherwise disturb other visitors, not to arbitrarily reserve a larger area of the flight zone than is strictly necessary for a normal tour (e.g. not to restrict the movement of other persons for the purpose of taking photographs, etc.).
6.3. It is forbidden to bring food and drinks into the flight area.
6.4. Dogs and other pets are allowed only under the absolute control of the owner, i.e. in the arms or bag. Free movement of animals is prohibited.
7. Complaints Procedure
7.1. If the service provided is defective, the customer is obliged to point out (complain) the defect to the provider without undue delay, preferably immediately during or immediately after the visit to the butterfly house at the ticket office or by e-mail to infopapilonia [emailtecka] hu. The customer is always obliged to state what he/she sees as the deficiencies in the services provided and what compensation he/she requires.
7.2. The Provider is obliged to confirm the receipt of the complaint in writing to the Customer. The Provider shall decide on the validity of the complaint and the Customer's claims arising from the received complaint immediately, in difficult cases within 3 working days, but no later than within 30 days, and shall send its decision to the Customer at the Customer's contact email or address specified in the complaint report.
8. Privacy Policy
8.1. The Customer understands that Papilonia is entitled to process his/her personal data for the purpose of fulfilling the contract and for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations, in particular: name, surname, email address and payment card data.
8.2. The aforementioned provisions shall also apply mutatis mutandis in relation to persons for whose benefit the customer has concluded the contract.
8.3. The Customer acknowledges that, as a data subject, he/she has in particular the following rights:
- request access to your personal data;
- request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request the deletion of personal data;
- request a restriction on the processing of your personal data;
- object to the processing of personal data;

9. Final Provisions
9.1. Any matters not regulated by these General Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the applicable provisions of Hungarian law.
9.2. The Buyer is entitled to settle disputes arising from the Contract out of court.
9.3. The Customer may use the online dispute resolution platform to resolve disputes. More detailed information on the conditions of online dispute resolution is available at https://ec.europa.eu/odr.
9.4. In the event of unlawful data processing experienced by you, you may initiate civil proceedings against Papilonia Hungary Limited Liability Company.
These General Terms and Conditions are valid and effective for contracts concluded from March 1, 2025.
